What are the application timelines?
Application window opens 01 December and closes 15 February.
What are the eligibility requirements for a scholarship?
Must have a high school diploma and be associated with the TACAMO Community. This includes Active Duty personnel that have completed a previous tour under Strategic Communications Wing ONE, their spouse, and dependents.
How do I show an association with the TACAMO Community?
The scholarship application requires you to list the name, duty station, tour dates and contact information for yourself or the person you are related to.
How many scholarships are awarded each year?
The number of Foundation Scholarships can very each year and is dependent on the number of annual pass-through donations the Foundation receives.
Do I have to apply for a scholarship every year?
Yes, scholarships are provided for one year and applicants are required to reapply each year.
Can I use a scholarship for postgraduate education?
No, TACAMO Foundation Scholarships are only awarded for undergraduate degrees.
Do I need letters of recommendation?
Letters of recommendation are not required, however, they can help improve your scholarship application.
What additional information should I include in my application package?
The TACAMO Foundation will review any documentation you provide. Ensure you provide all the required information in the application, or your application will be incomplete.
When are the awardees notified?
Awardees will be notified on 15 June each year.
How are scholarships paid to awardees?
The TACAMO Foundation will mail checks directly to your accredited institution in the last week of July. All checks will be made out to both the institution and the awardee. Awardees will have to endorse the check once it arrives.
